Schalast advises MHB-Bank AG with regard to takeover by Raisin

Schalast advises the most important German Challenger-Bank MHB-Bank AG on the takeover by the most important German FinTech Raisin GmbH from the Lonestar Group. Schalast has already advised MHB-Bank in the past as part of Lonestar in connection with numerous non-performing-loan (NPL) loan portfolio transactions. For several years now, MHB-Bank and numerous FinTechs (e.g. Weltsparen, Creditshelf, Creditgate 24, Exporo, Bergfürst, Fiduciam or Vexcash) have been advised by Schalast on legal structuring.

Raisin, known for German savers under the name Weltsparen, is acquired MHB-Bank. The takeover will enable Bank and FinTech to further interlock and offer services from a single source in the future.

Only last month Raisin had collected more than 100 million euros in a financing round. Among the investors was Paypal. Since its foundation in 2012, the interest portal has brokered more than 10 billion euros of investor money from Europe.
