Schalast advised PEWO on the acquisition of a majority stake in MB-Brassen Fernwärmetechnik GmbH

Schalast advised PEWO, a subsidiary of the Viessmann Group, on the acquisition of a majority stake in MB-Brassen Fernwärmetechnik GmbH.

MB Brassen is based in Osthofen, Rheinhessen, and employs 40 people. MB-Brassen offers a full range of services in the field of district heating technology, from consulting to planning and production.

PEWO Energietechnik GmbH, based in Saxony, develops and manufactures heat distribution systems as complete system solutions for apartments, residential buildings, residential quarters, cities, hotels, clinics, swimming pools and industry throughout Europe. PEWO integrates district heating, solar thermal, geothermal, natural gas, process heat and heat recovery from wastewater into its systems. More than 20,000 individual customer systems are developed and produced each year by currently about 400 employees.

Through the acquisition, the family-owned companies will benefit from the expansion of the product portfolios and the sales strength of the parent company Viessmann, which was also advised by Schalast in the acquisition of PEWO. In addition, both locations and the market in the district heating sector in the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Neckar regions are to be expanded.
