Experienced labour law specialist joins Schalast from SKW Schwarz

On 1 November 2018, Boris Christian (37), who for many years had been involved in shaping SKW Schwarz's labour law practice, joined the Frankfurt office of the law firm Schalast as a partner. At SKW Schwarz he worked as counsel. In addition to his work in labour law, he will continue to work in litigation, commercial and distribution law.

With this hire, Schalast's labour law practice is growing to two partners and three associates at its Frankfurt office, i.e. will now comprise five experienced professionals. If required, the team will also be supported by the Schalast subsidiary Clarius Legal in Hamburg in linking labour law and data protection.

Schalast's labour law practice has for years not only focused on restructuring but also on collective bargaining law. Its labour law practice has a special focus on aviation, as Schalast has been representing airlines in court proceedings for many years. In addition, Clemens Schalast, head of Schalast's labour law practice, has special expertise in the area of company pension schemes.

While strengthening its labour law practice with Boris Christian, Schalast also intends to further expand its international client base. The firm is a member of the international network Multilaw, which has its own labour law practice group. Therefore, Schalast is able to assist clients worldwide in labour law matters. In March 2018, Schalast was named "German Law Firm of the Year" by "The Lawyer".
