SCHALAST | WE.DO.ART.

Promoting art is an important form of social commitment for us at Schalast. Against this background, the firm presents changing thematic exhibitions in our conference rooms as part of our art format WE.DO.ART.

Art intervenes in the everyday working lives of employees. Subconsciously, but also through a targeted examination of the works, perspectives and viewpoints change.

Since client meetings and events also take place regularly in our conference rooms, the exhibited works reach a broad and changing audience. Prof. Dr. Christoph Schalast, founder and managing partner of our firm, explains:

"Promoting the arts is particularly important to me as a someone who was born and raised in Frankfurt. After all, as a firm we are placing ourselves in the tradition of the city of Frankfurt with its numerous museums, galleries, exhibitions and renowned art academies such as the Städelschule."

Add Art

As part of the add art event in Hamburg, our Hamburg location will be opening its doors to art lovers on November 14 and 15. Conceptual photography by Isabelle Borges, Björn Drenkwitz, Mathias Kessler and Sandra Mann will be presented here. This art form focuses on ideas and concepts that go beyond the purely aesthetic and convey deeper thoughts or critical questions. Through staging, manipulation or contextualization, the exhibition shows the complexity of this art form. The artists use the medium to visually communicate complex political, cultural or personal issues.

Further information and registration can be found here.

Additional exhibitions

The firm cooperates with the Frankfurt-based company Strelow Walter Art Projects, which specializes in the mediation of contemporary art. Since 2018, gallery owner and art historian Heike Strelow and business graduate Kerstin Walter have been curating changing thematic exhibitions that feature works by artists from Europe, North America, and Latin America in addition to positions from the region. In addition, they also support the partnership in art education and public relations.

This international network and the regional reference give rise to exciting relationships between works, their interpretive horizons and their histories of origin.
